What it is

This is the main repository for the Rust language, holding the rustc compiler, the standard library, and the official documentation. Rust uses an ownership model and a strong type system to catch memory and threading bugs at compile time without a garbage collector. Developers write operating system components, command-line tools, web services, and embedded firmware in it, alongside companion tools such as Cargo, rustfmt, Clippy, and rust-analyzer.
