What it is

Eigent is an open-source desktop application, built on CAMEL-AI, that runs either a single agent or a group of specialized agents working in parallel on multi-step tasks such as research, writing, coding, and report generation. It includes browser and terminal toolkits, MCP and skill support, scheduled recurring workflows, and works with cloud APIs or local models through Ollama, vLLM, or LM Studio. People who want an agent workspace on their own machine, with files and credentials kept local, use it in place of hosted cowork tools.
