What it is

Local Deep Research takes a complex question, runs searches across the web, academic sources such as arXiv and PubMed, and your own document collections, then compiles a report with citations. It works with local models through Ollama or llama.cpp as well as cloud providers, and stores data in an encrypted SQLCipher database. Researchers, students, and privacy-minded users run it through Docker or pip and work in a browser-based interface on their own machine or home server.
