What it is

An Electron desktop app built on a Rust core that hosts the pi agent harness, so an AI agent can inspect source, change files, execute shell commands, and run tests in your local projects. It offers agent, plan, and goal modes, subagents and parallel worker sessions, and works with cloud, local, or custom-gateway models. Developers who want a coding agent outside any particular IDE or terminal can extend it with installable plugins that add panels, widgets, tools, skills, themes, MCP servers, and background services.
