What it is

This repository holds the services, models, and frameworks X uses to choose and rank posts for its For You feed and for the notifications it recommends to users. It includes candidate sourcing, graph-based embeddings such as SimClusters, light and heavy ranking models, visibility filtering, and the product-mixer feed framework. It ships without a complete build setup, so it is mostly read rather than run. Engineers, researchers, and people curious about how social feeds are ranked can study how a large-scale recommendation system is put together.
