Knowledge-graph memory layer that gives AI agents long-term recall
What it is
Cognee builds a knowledge graph with embeddings from your documents, source code, and chat history, which agents can then search across sessions. It runs locally with small CPU models and no API key, and can optionally call OpenAI, Ollama, or other providers to generate answers. Developers building agents use it through a Python API, a CLI, or MCP and plugins to keep project context, past decisions, and domain ontologies available between runs. It can be deployed on your own infrastructure or used as a managed cloud service.
