Topcoat
Full-stack Rust web framework with server rendering and client reactivity
What it is
Topcoat is an experimental full-stack web framework for Rust, developed by the Tokio project. Pages and async components render on the server and can query a database directly, while small type-checked Rust expressions are translated to JavaScript so they run in the browser without a wasm bundle. It includes an HTML-like view macro, routing inferred from module layout, an asset bundler, Tailwind support, and a copy-into-your-project component library. Rust developers who want one codebase for server logic and interactive pages, without a separate API layer, build with it.
