What it is

SWC parses, transforms, and minifies TypeScript and JavaScript, serving as a faster replacement for Babel in build pipelines. It ships as npm packages for Node.js and as Rust crates, including a standalone ECMAScript parser. Frontend tooling authors and web developers use it inside bundlers, frameworks, and test runners to cut compile times.
