What it is

This macOS, Windows, and Linux application organizes knowledge bases built from plain markdown files with YAML frontmatter. Each vault is a git repository, so you get version history and can sync with any remote, with no accounts or cloud service involved. It offers a keyboard-driven editor, a command palette, note types for navigation, and a bundled MCP server plus setup paths for AI coding agents like Claude Code. People keeping a personal second brain, company docs, or memory files for AI assistants use it to organize thousands of notes offline.
