What it is

This repository holds the community and vendor-maintained components that extend the OpenTelemetry Collector beyond its core set, including receivers, processors, exporters, and extensions for traces, metrics, and logs. It also forms the basis of the official contrib distribution, and each component carries its own stability level per signal. Platform and SRE teams pull from it to connect telemetry from many sources to many backends, or pick components for a custom collector build.
