What it is

F´ is a C++ framework from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for building flight software out of discrete components with defined interfaces. It supplies core services such as threads and message queues, a modeling language that generates component and wiring code, a library of reusable components, and unit and integration testing tools. Teams building CubeSats, SmallSats, instruments, and other embedded systems use it to structure and test onboard software, and it has flown on several missions.
