Typed superset of JavaScript with a compiler and type checker

What it is

A programming language that layers optional static types on top of JavaScript, plus the compiler that checks those types and emits plain, standards-based JavaScript. The type information also drives editor features such as autocompletion, refactoring, and error reporting. Web and Node.js developers adopt it to catch mistakes early and keep large codebases manageable as they grow.
