What it is

Letta Code is a command-line agent harness where each agent keeps long-term memory, skills, and prompts that it rewrites as it works, with all context versioned in git. Agents can run subagents, follow cron schedules, respond to hooks, and be reached from the terminal, a browser, or Slack, Telegram, and Discord. Developers who want a coding and general-purpose agent that carries knowledge across sessions and machines install it via npm or pipx and connect their own model API keys or Letta Cloud.
