Lap
Offline desktop photo manager for very large local libraries
What it is
Lap is a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux that browses and organizes photo and video folders in place, without importing them into a closed library or uploading them anywhere. It offers local AI text and similarity search, face clustering, duplicate cleanup, a map view of geotagged shots, RAW+JPEG pairing, smart albums, and basic editing. People with family archives or six-figure photo collections use it to find and sort old pictures while keeping everything on their own disks.
