What it is

This is the official collection of apps (previously called add-ons) for Home Assistant, each packaged as a Docker container and installed from the Home Assistant interface. It includes an MQTT broker, MariaDB, Zigbee and Z-Wave controllers, an NGINX SSL proxy, Let's Encrypt and Duck DNS helpers, Samba and SSH access, and a browser file editor. Home Assistant users install these to add services around their smart home setup, and developers read the code as examples when writing their own add-ons.
