Stop Slop

Agent skill that strips common AI writing patterns from prose

  • Agent skills and plugins
View on GitHub

What it is

A skill file with reference lists that tells Claude or another LLM which phrases, sentence structures, and rhythms mark text as machine-written, and how to rewrite them. It covers banned phrases, structural clichés, sentence rules such as avoiding em dashes and passive voice, and a five-part scoring rubric for deciding when a draft needs revision. Writers and editors who draft with AI can load it into Claude Code, Claude Projects, custom instructions, or a system prompt to get plainer output.
