GitHub Stacked PRs
GitHub CLI extension for building and managing stacked pull requests
What it is
A gh extension that breaks a big change into a series of small branches that build on each other, opening one pull request per layer with each based on the branch beneath it. It handles creating branches, rebasing the whole stack, setting PR bases, pushing, and moving up and down between layers, with support for Git worktrees. Developers who want reviewers to see small, focused diffs use it to keep a sequence of related PRs in order without manual rebasing. It also ships an agent skill so AI coding agents can drive the workflow.
