Pi
Minimal, extensible terminal coding agent with a multi-provider LLM toolkit
What it is
Pi is a command-line coding agent that runs in your project directory and works with many model providers through a shared LLM API. It intentionally omits extras such as sub-agents and a planning mode, so users can add them through extensions, skills, prompt templates, and themes distributed as npm or git packages. The monorepo also includes the libraries it is built on: a unified LLM client, an agent runtime that handles tool calls, and a terminal UI library. Developers can use it interactively, script it in JSON mode, drive it over RPC, or embed it with the TypeScript SDK.
