AI coding agent for VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, and the terminal

What it is

Continue is an AI coding agent shipped as a VS Code extension, a JetBrains plugin, and a command-line tool. Developers connect it to the language models they choose and use it to chat about code, edit files, and run agent tasks inside their editor or shell. Its last version, 2.0.0, strips out telemetry and built-in authentication, and with the repository now archived as read-only, the project lives on as a usable tool and a codebase others can fork.
