What it is

openpilot is a robotics software stack from comma that replaces or upgrades the stock driver assistance system in over 300 supported car models, handling steering, adaptive cruise control, and driver monitoring. It runs on a comma device connected through a car harness, and it can also be run on other hardware with more setup work. Drivers install it to get better highway assistance in cars they already own, while developers and researchers study and extend its driving models, safety code, and logging tools.
