What it is

Buzz is a desktop application that turns audio and video files, YouTube links, or live microphone input into text using Whisper models running on your own machine. It can separate speech from noise, identify speakers, translate, and export transcripts as TXT, SRT, or VTT subtitles. Journalists, podcasters, students, and anyone captioning recordings use it to get transcripts without sending audio to a cloud service. It also offers a watch folder, a command-line interface, GPU acceleration, and plugins such as AI summaries.
