What it is
OpenCode is an AI coding agent that runs in a terminal UI, with a beta desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It ships a full-access build agent, a read-only plan agent that asks before running shell commands, and a general subagent for multistep searches. Developers switch between agents with the Tab key to explore unfamiliar codebases, plan changes, and then let the agent edit files.
