What it is
FluidVoice is a macOS menu bar app that turns speech into text in any app using local speech models such as Parakeet, Whisper, and Apple Speech. A global hotkey starts capture, a live overlay shows words as you speak, and optional AI post-processing fixes formatting and capitalization, either locally or through providers like OpenAI and Groq. It also has a voice command mode for launching apps and running shortcuts, and a write mode for rewriting selected text. Mac users who type a lot can dictate emails, notes, and messages without sending audio to the cloud.
