What it is

UniMate is a research model from SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 that generates 3D animation from text prompts across many skeleton types, including bipeds, quadrupeds, birds, sea creatures, insects, snakes and articulated objects. The repository includes training and inference code, released checkpoints, and the pipeline that builds the UniML3D dataset of text-paired motion clips. A preprocessing tool converts your own rigged GLB, glTF or FBX assets so the model can animate them. Graphics and animation researchers can use it to reproduce the paper or to train motion models on varied rigs.
