What it is
Ponytail is a skill and plugin for AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor that steers them to write only the code a task needs, reuse what already exists in the repo, and keep validation, error handling and tests. It adds review and audit commands that read surrounding code, rank bugs, security and missing tests, and suggest what to cut, plus a status band showing cost, tokens and agent time. Developers who run agents on real codebases install it to get smaller diffs and lower token spend without dropping safety checks.
