What it is

Project NOMAD installs on a Debian-based machine and runs a browser-based Command Center that manages a set of Docker containers for offline use. It bundles Kiwix for offline Wikipedia and reference libraries, Kolibri for Khan Academy courses, ProtoMaps regional maps, CyberChef, note-taking, and an optional local AI assistant with document search backed by Ollama and Qdrant. Preppers, schools, and people in places with poor connectivity set it up on their own hardware so reference material and learning tools stay usable without internet access.
