What it is

Clypra is a non-linear video editor with a Rust and FFmpeg backend that uses hardware decoding (VideoToolbox, D3D11VA, VAAPI) and a React interface. It offers frame-accurate trimming across multiple tracks, audio waveforms with volume controls, text overlays and filters, and export to ProRes or H.264. Creators who want a free editor without watermarks or subscriptions can install it on macOS, Windows, or Linux. It includes optional performance telemetry that sends only timing numbers and GPU details.
